How do I prepare?

  • Brush and floss your teeth before you come.
  • Write down any notes and questions you’d like to discuss.
  • Make note of any medical history or medications.
  • Download, complete, and bring in your first-appointment patient forms.

What’s included in a dental checkup?

A complete, comprehensive dental exam

Dr. Katie and Dr. Spencer provide a thorough exam during each patient’s visit, whether that is for a new patient appointment, a cleaning appointment or a limited exam appointment.

X-rays

X-rays are vital in allowing our doctors to diagnose and create a treatment plan, whether that is for one tooth or the full mouth.

During a typical cleaning appointment, 4 BW’s are taken, as well as any necessary additional x-rays that may be needed (periapical x-rays, pano, CT).

Our office has a brand new CBCT machine that takes a three dimensional x-ray image. x-ray, which This allows us to give patients more accurate diagnoses and treatment planning than they might receive from conventional 2D x-rays.

Professional cleaning

Our hygienists are deeply passionate about providing the best dental care to our patients during their cleaning appointment. They always make our patients feel comfortable and safe in the dental chair.

The cleanings that our hygienists offer are:

  • prophylaxis
  • scaling and root planing
  • periodontal maintenance

How we’re keeping you safe during the current Covid-19 pandemic

We know that you may be feeling anxious about scheduling dental appointments during this uncertain time. That’s why we’re doing everything we can to make your appointment as safe and worry-free as possible.

Here’s what we’re doing to keep everyone safe in our clinic:

  • Routine Covid-19 screenings for all patients
  • HEPA filters installed in all treatment rooms
  • Safe-T Shields utilized during procedures
  • Socially distanced waiting room
  • Closed door operations
  • Increased appointment times to allow for proper disinfection

Insurance Information

Generations Family Dental is not currently in-network with dental insurance carriers. However, our administrative staff is happy to accept your dental insurance information and submit bills to your insurance company for payment. Please let us know if you have any questions about insurance coverage, co-pays or other billing questions.
